Free Talk on King Arthur’s Cornwall
January 20, 2026
Ok, we can officially tell that January is January-ing, because we have two new talks, an article, and a GIANT SECRET PROJECT that we have to finish this week, so we’re keeping this short and sweet.
On Thursday, January 29th at 2:00PM ET, we’re doing a free talk called “Experiencing King Arthur’s Cornwall” for The Great Courses! You can register here.

Here’s the writeup:
“Drs. Cleto and Warman take you in the footsteps of King Arthur to experience the unforgettable sites and scenes from the life of this legendary hero. You’ll see St. Nectar’s Glen, said to be the site where the Knights of the Round Table were blessed before their quest for the Holy Grail. You’ll learn the story behind Tintagel Castle, believed to be the birthplace of Arthur himself. And you’ll visit dramatic sites such as the 7-foot-tall, inscribed Tristan Stone, said to be a memorial to Arthur’s knight, Sir Tristan. Discover all this and much more in a stirring lecture based on their ‘Enchanted England Journey’.”
All are welcome at this free event, but we especially recommend coming if you’re interested in visiting England with us in September!
We’ll be the resident folklorists/ academic experts on the Great Courses Journey “Enchanted England: Folklore, Literature, and Landscapes.” The trip will take place September 21-28, 2026, and, we’re not going to lie, our dream is that it will fill entirely with Carterhaugh folks.
The talk will be about 25 minutes, followed by a Q&A. If you want to nerd out about Tintagel Castle and Cornwall, come! If you maybe want to come with us to Tintagel Castle, definitely come.
We believe there will be a replay if you can’t make it live, too.
Hope to see you there!
P.S. In conclusion, free King Arthur talk here. Trip WITH US to England here.
